The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MLJNW) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40015MLJNW is an AirTAC G-series filter regulator in the 400 size with a PT1/2 port, pairing water and particle filtration with downstream pressure regulation in one body. The W suffix selects the finer 5 um filter element over the standard 40 um grade, and the N suffix means no pressure gauge is fitted. This unit also carries a manual drain bowl, the low-pressure regulator type and no mounting bracket. The polycarbonate bowl suits compressed air from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), with 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet pressure; as the low-pressure type its regulated output is limited to 0.4 MPa, and we confirm the exact adjustment span on request.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter-regulator line is offered in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with drain-type, filter-grade, gauge, thread (G, NPT or standard PT) and bracket options. Since flow appears only as curves, we confirm sizing and all datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, low-pressure regulated air to positioners and pilot devices on a process skid, where the 5 um element and the absence of a gauge suit a panel that displays pressure elsewhere.
Conditioning and regulating air to gripper circuits on a robotic assembly cell, with the low-pressure type holding delicate part-handling pressures and the manual drain bled at planned maintenance windows.
Supplying clean, controlled air to a workshop bench rig used to function-test cylinders and valves, where the 5 um element protects the components under test and shop gauges provide the indication.
The 400 size with its PT1/2 port is the step to take when half-inch piping or the position on the flow curve demands it; compare the 300 and 600 bodies before locking in. Two decode choices define this variant: W gives the 5 um element for cleaner downstream air than the standard 40 um grade, and N omits the gauge for panels with their own instrumentation. The manual drain (M) needs a scheduled bleed, so weigh automatic and differential-pressure options for unattended spots. Thread is PT as standard with G(BSPP) and NPT available to order, and the J code excludes the mounting bracket.
Filter-regulator flow is published as curves rather than a single rated number, so ask us to check this 5 um, gaugeless unit against your air demand and set pressure before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
There is no single rated flow figure to quote: AirTAC publishes the GFR400 series' flow as curves that depend on inlet pressure and setpoint. Send us your line conditions and consumption requirement, and we will confirm from the datasheet whether this 1/2 in unit is the right size.
Two matter most: W selects the 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um grade, and N means no pressure gauge is fitted. You should also confirm the manual drain suits your maintenance routine - automatic and differential-pressure variants exist - and note the thread is standard PT, with G(BSPP) and NPT orderable.
