The AirTAC AirTAC GFR200-08 Filter Regulator, 1/4 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200-08 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a set downstream pressure, both in one compact body. This 200-size unit is threaded 1/4 in NPT and carries a 40 um filter element with a differential-pressure drain, which bleeds accumulated condensate whenever the pressure drop across the element rises. An external round gauge scaled in psi is fitted so the outlet setting is visible at a glance, and a reverse/check valve is built in to hold the downstream setting if the upstream supply is lost.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, plus choices of drain type, 5 um filtration, gauge scale and thread form. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use supply for pneumatic clamps, tool-change cylinders and chip-clearing jets on a machining centre, with clean, regulated air set locally at the cell.
Feeding diverters, sealers and pusher cylinders on a carton or bottling line, where a stable outlet pressure keeps stroke timing consistent across the shift.
Conditioning the air feed to sample-handling valves and small actuators on an automated bench or analytical instrument skid, with the psi gauge visible for setup checks.
Start with the port step: this unit is 1/4 in NPT on the 200 frame; step up to GFR300/400/600 if your line needs larger ports. Choose the drain to match duty - differential-pressure (as fitted here) for steady plant air, automatic for unattended drains, or manual where an operator drains the bowl on a schedule. The standard element is 40 um; specify the W code for 5 um where finer particulate control matters. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar - this configuration is psi), and thread can be ordered as PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT. A bracket is optional; this code omits it.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, we cannot quote one number here - send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The differential-pressure drain (the default) bleeds condensate from the bowl automatically when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises, with no operator action. Choose the A code for a fully automatic drain on unattended equipment, or the M code for a manual drain where an operator drains the bowl as part of routine checks. Note the regulation range also depends on drain type: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with automatic or differential-pressure drain, 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain.
