The AirTAC AirTAC GFR20008MF2WT Filter Regulator 1/4 in NPT 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008MF2WT is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: a 5 um filter element and a pressure regulator combined in one body, sized for 1/4 in NPT ports. This configuration has a manual drain, a polycarbonate bowl, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, and a standard regulator with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) setting range. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge scale and thread. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to a machine tool's clamps, chuck actuation and tool-change cylinders, with the 5 um element helping protect the valve stack and the psi gauge giving the setter a direct reading at the drop.
Regulating the supply to carton sealers, case diverters and wrap-arm cylinders on a packaging conveyor, where the manual drain lets the line operator bleed accumulated water at shift start.
Conditioning shop air ahead of spray guns and air-assisted applicators on a finishing line, where the 5 um grade and a stable regulated setting support consistent atomisation at the booth.
Choose the size step (200/300/400/600) and its port to match the air demand of the line - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. On this unit the decodable choices are drain type (manual here; automatic and differential-pressure are alternatives), filter grade (5 um as coded; 40 um is the standard), gauge scale (psi here; MPa or bar available), thread (NPT as ordered; PT is the standard and G is also available) and the mounting bracket (included here).
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rating, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the right size from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your flow and working pressure and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet on request.
This unit is coded M for a manual drain: an operator opens the drain to expel collected water, which suits points that are easy to reach on a routine walk-round. Manual-drain GFR units also carry the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range. If the unit will sit where regular access is difficult, ask us about the automatic or differential-pressure drain options.
