The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-15 Filter Regulator 1/2in NPT Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit is fitted with a 1/2 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, the standard 40 um filter element, and a round pressure gauge reading in bar. It is the low-pressure type, and a reverse/check valve is fitted. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, a 40 um standard or 5 um (W) element, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G, NPT or PT threads. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm flow and other datasheet figures on request before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a fixture-clamping manifold that holds workpieces at reduced pressure, this filter regulator cleans the supply and holds the set pressure, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the clamp cylinders.
Fed from a plant air drop into a carton-sealing or wrapping machine, this 1/2 in unit filters water and particles from the supply and regulates it to the pressure the machine's valve train expects, draining condensate automatically between shifts.
On a bottling or food line where air knives and blow-off nozzles run at low regulated pressure, this unit strips water and particulate before the nozzles and keeps the setting stable, with the reverse/check valve holding the circuit against backflow.
Start with the port step: this unit is the 300 size with a 1/2 in NPT port; step up to the 400 or 600 size if your line needs more flow capacity, or down to 200 for compact circuits. The automatic drain on this unit suits unattended duty; choose manual drain where you want positive control of discharge, or the differential-pressure default where drain timing should follow the pressure drop. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for the 5 um element where finer filtration is required. The round gauge here reads in bar; square embedded gauges and MPa or psi scales are also available. Thread is NPT on this code, with G (BSPP) and PT as order options; a mounting bracket can be ordered where wall mounting is needed (this code omits it).
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Ask us to confirm sizing against your application and we will read the datasheet curve with you before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not state a flow figure here. Send us your line pressure, downstream pressure and expected air demand, and we will confirm the correct size against the datasheet curve on request before you order.
The L code marks this as the low-pressure regulator type rather than the standard one; its exact adjustment range is not published in the material we hold, so we confirm it on request. The A code in the drain position means an automatic drain: the bowl expels collected condensate on its own, so there is no manual drain valve to operate, unlike the M (manual) or differential-pressure (blank) options.
