The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10ALC1T Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10ALC1T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one compact body. This configuration is built with NPT 3/8 in ports, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, the standard 40 um filter element, and the low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run at reduced regulated pressure. An external round gauge scaled in MPa is fitted so the set pressure can be read at a glance, and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, filter grades of 40 um standard or 5 um optional, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, regulated air at a reduced set pressure feeding directional control valves on a carton-forming and sealing machine, with the automatic drain keeping condensate off the valve seats in a hard-to-reach cabinet.
Supplying air cylinders that raise, divert and stop product on a bottling conveyor, where the low-pressure regulator type holds a gentle set pressure to avoid slamming product stops and the round MPa gauge lets line staff verify the setting.
A bench-mounted feed for air tools, clamps and blow-off guns at an assembly cell: the 40 um element stops pipe-scale and water reaching the tools, the bracket fixes the unit to the frame, and the automatic drain handles condensate between shifts.
Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200 / 300 / 400 / 600) to match the port and flow path your line needs - this unit sits at size 400 with 3/8 in NPT ports. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (as here) where the unit is hard to reach, manual where you prefer controlled blow-down, or the differential-pressure default. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify W for the 5 um element if downstream valves or instruments need finer air. This is the low-pressure regulator type - if your circuit holds pressure well below the standard range, confirm suitability with us. Gauge scale choices are MPa, psi or bar; the round external gauge here reads MPa. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT (as on this unit) are order options. Brackets can be omitted with code J, but this unit includes one.
Flow for GFR units is published as curves, not a single rated number, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can honestly quote. Send us your application - port size, downstream demand and line pressure - and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code selects the automatic drain: collected condensate is expelled without anyone opening the bowl, which suits units mounted high or inside enclosures. The C1 selects the external round gauge scaled in MPa; psi or bar scales are available as order options, and the embedded square gauge is the standard alternative.
