The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-20 Filter Regulator, NPT 3/4 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This unit sits on the size-600 frame with 3/4 in NPT ports (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options), carries the finer 5 um filter element (40 um is the standard grade), and has a manual drain on its aluminium alloy bowl - only the size-600 bowls are aluminium alloy. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and an external round gauge with a bar scale is included; the embedded square gauge is the standard gauge fitting on this family.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge styles and scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and the full datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the atomising air feeding spray guns on a paint finishing line, where the 5 um element helps keep water and particles out of the coating supply and the low-pressure regulator type suits lower setting points.
Supplying a pneumatically clamped fixture circuit on a machining centre, with the round bar-scale gauge giving the operator a local pressure reading and the fitted reverse/check valve blocking reverse flow in the circuit.
Preparing air for the cylinders and actuators that drive a packaging conveyor's diverters and pushers, with the manual drain letting maintenance staff bleed the aluminium alloy bowl during scheduled shift checks.
The real choices in this family are the size and port step against the flow your line needs (sizes 200/300/400/600, ports 1/8 to 1 in), the drain type - differential-pressure as standard, automatic for unattended condensate removal, manual where an operator drains on a schedule - the filter grade (40 um standard, or 5 um with the W code), the gauge style and scale (embedded square, or external round in MPa, psi or bar), the thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and the bracket. This GFR600-20 is the size-600, 3/4 in NPT unit with manual drain, 5 um element, round bar-scale gauge, low-pressure regulator type and a fitted reverse/check valve. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, and the adjustment range of the low-pressure type is not published in our data, ask us to confirm both against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your supply pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request, along with the adjustment range for the low-pressure regulator type.
Manual drain means an operator opens the drain to bleed accumulated water from the bowl, which suits attended installations with routine checks. The GFR family is also available with a differential-pressure drain (the default) or an automatic drain - ask us for the alternative codes if you would prefer either.
