The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-25T Filter Regulator 1 in NPT 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-25T is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This size-600 unit is configured with a 1 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl, and the fine 5 um filter element (code W) instead of the standard 40 um. Because it is the 600 size, the bowl is aluminium alloy. A round pressure gauge reading in bar is fitted, a reverse/check valve is built in to hold downstream pressure when the supply drops, and no mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge styles and scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 25 | Port size PT1". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

At the drop to a paint booth or spray station, the unit strips water and fine particles from the supply and holds a steady regulated pressure to the spray equipment, with the manual drain emptied during shift checks.
On a filling or packaging line, the filter regulator conditions the air feeding cylinders and grippers along the conveyor, and the built-in check valve helps hold the set pressure if the main supply dips.
At the air inlet of a CNC machining centre, the 5 um element protects solenoid valves and pneumatic clamping circuits from moisture and fine debris while the regulator keeps clamping pressure stable.
Step up through the GFR sizes (200 to 600) as your port and air demand grow; this unit sits at the top of the range with a 1 in NPT connection. Choose the drain to suit access: manual (as here) needs someone to open the drain periodically, automatic drains on their own, and the differential-pressure default drains when the pressure drop across the element calls for it. The 5 um element (code W) suits air that feeds sensitive components; the standard 40 um element is fine for general actuation. Gauge scale and style (square MPa/psi/bar embedded, or the round bar gauge fitted here) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are all decodable choices.
Because flow for this series is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated number, so there is no one l/min or SCFM figure we can quote. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures on request so you can size the unit correctly.
The M in the code means the bowl is drained by hand: someone opens the drain periodically to let collected water out. If the installation is hard to reach or runs unattended, an automatic-drain version (code A) or the differential-pressure default is the better choice; with a manual drain, the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
