The AirTAC AirTAC GR400-15 Pressure Regulator (GR40015JC2) is a genuine G-series air pressure regulator. It holds a stable downstream pressure over the range 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi) with PT1/2" ports, and ships with a pressure gauge. A regulator does not filter the air — put a GF filter upstream, or use a GFR filter regulator, when water and particulate must also be removed.
The AirTAC GR40015JC2 is a compressed-air pressure regulator from the G series that holds a steady downstream pressure for the equipment fed from it. It filters nothing and lubricates nothing - regulation only. This configuration is the 400 size with PT1/2 threaded ports (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are catalogue options), fitted with an external round pressure gauge scaled in psi - convenient where the maintenance team works in imperial units - with no bracket (J) and no reverse/check valve. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the setting range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); the medium is compressed air, operating from -20 to 70 C.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GR family comes in 200/300/400/600 sizes for progressively larger ports and flow capacity, with square embedded or external round gauges in MPa/psi/bar scales, a low-pressure type up to 0.4 MPa, panel mounting, and a reverse/check valve option. AirTAC publishes flow and pressure-loss data as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet numbers for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. Note the GR temperature range is -20 to +70 °C, wider than the other G-series units. A regulator has no bowl and no filter element, so there is no filtering grade. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GR400 | G-series pressure regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Standard type — 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, type, bracket, gauge, gauge shape, scale, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GR300-08LNK is a 300 body, PT1/4", low-pressure type, no gauge, with reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure.

Regulates the air supply to pneumatic vise and fixture clamping on a machining center, keeping workholding pressure stable while cutting forces vary.
Provides a controlled air pressure to wafer-handling or test-head fixture circuits on an automated test line, where a fixed, repeatable setpoint matters cycle to cycle.
Feeds dock levellers and door actuation circuits at a loading bay, holding a steady working pressure regardless of swings in the plant air header.
Match the series size (200/300/400/600) to the pipe bore and the air demand of the circuit; the 400 size with 1/2-inch ports covers larger lines. The C2 suffix selects the external round gauge with a psi scale - pick MPa (JC1) or bar (JC3) if your plant works in metric. The standard thread is PT; specify G (BSPP) or T (NPT) to match your fittings. J means no mounting bracket, and without a K suffix no reverse/check valve is fitted.
Flow for the GR400 is published as curves rather than a single rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against your actual demand before ordering.
Quick checklist
Without a reflux valve, air cannot flow back through the regulator — order the K option if reverse flow is required. A regulator does not remove water or particulate; that is the filter's job.
AirTAC does not state a single rated flow for GR regulators - the figures are published as flow and pressure-loss curves. Ask us and we will confirm the GR400 curve data against your line's air demand from the datasheet.
C means an external round gauge is fitted and the trailing digit gives the scale: 2 here means psi, so 1 would be MPa and 3 would be bar. The regulator body, PT1/2 ports and 7-130 psi setting range are otherwise the same across the three scale variants.
