The 10 mm bore provides roughly 39.3 N of push at 0.5 MPa; if your load needs more, choose a larger bore in the MD range rather than over-pressurising. MD means standard double acting - air extends and retracts the rod - while MSD/MTD single-acting and MK no-rotating variants cover other needs. The 15 mm stroke stays well inside the 35 mm table limit for bore 10; on this compact body, shorter strokes are safer, so avoid pushing toward the limit unless the datasheet mounting suits it. FAQ
Is MD10X15 the same as an MK cylinder with no rotating rod?
No. MD is the standard family, so the piston rod can rotate; the MK family uses a fixed rod and no-rotating plate to prevent rotation. Choose MD when rotation is acceptable and MK when the rod orientation must stay fixed.
Can I order a longer stroke on this 10 mm bore?
The bore 10 table allows strokes up to 35 mm on double-acting models, so 15 mm is comfortably within range. On a compact multi-mount body it is wise to keep the stroke short and verify mounting fit - confirm exact dimensions and side-load limits from the datasheet.
