This is a genuine AirTAC part in the standard MD series, where the rod may rotate; the MK series instead prevents rotation. There is no S at the end of this SKU, so it is built without a magnet - the magnetic-switch slots are still in the body, but sensing needs a magnet-fitted variant. Do I need the magnet version for position switches?
Yes. The MD10X35 SKU is built without a magnet, so magnetic switches cannot detect piston position even though the slots are in the body. Pick the MD10X35S variant, which includes the magnet, if you want switch sensing.
