An optional high-temperature seal material extends the range to 0 to 150 C. How to choose
Choose the bore for thrust: at 0.5 MPa this 16 mm bore produces 100.5 N theoretical push (86.4 N pull). The 50 mm stroke is the top of the bore 16 double-acting range, so it gives maximum reach for this body - remember the short covers caution against over-long strokes on compact multi-mount cylinders. MD is standard double acting, so rotation is allowed; choose MK if the rod must stay fixed. Thread is PT by default (G optional), ports are M5x0.8, and no magnet is fitted unless the code carries an S. Side-load ratings come from the datasheet - ask us before applying side loads.

Yes - 50 mm is the maximum listed double-acting stroke for the 16 mm bore, so the MD16X50 uses the full table range. Keep in mind the short covers caution against pushing an over-long stroke on a compact body, and confirm side-load limits and exact dimensions from the datasheet.
MD or MK - how do I choose between them?
The MD16X50 is a standard MD cylinder, so the rod is free to rotate unless your tooling constrains it. If the rod or attached plate must not turn - for example on a stopper or gate blade - select the MK family at the same bore and stroke instead.
