How to choose
Select the 25 mm bore when your job needs up to 245.4 N of theoretical push force at 0.5 MPa (206.2 N on the pull side); step up or down a bore if that thrust does not fit. Choose MD where slight rod rotation is acceptable and MK where it must be prevented. This model is double acting with a fixed 40 mm stroke, inside the bore 25 stroke table that runs up to 60 mm; keep travel within the table because the covers limit over-long strokes. The SKU has no S suffix, so no magnet is fitted - add an S variant if you need positional switching. Why does the MD25X40 have no magnet when other MD25X40 listings do?
The magnet is optional on the MD series and is shown by the trailing S in the model code. MD25X40 without an S is supplied without a magnet; MD25X40S is the same cylinder with a magnet fitted for switch position detection.
