The magnet is an option on the MD family, and this SKU includes it: the trailing S in MDJ20X70-10S marks a magnet-equipped cylinder for magnetic-switch detection. The same code without S is supplied without a magnet.
Can I use a long stroke on this compact body?
Strokes on multi-mount cylinders stay short relative to the square cover, so an over-long stroke such as 70 mm deserves a datasheet check for your fixture. Side-load capability and per-stroke dimensions should also be confirmed from the datasheet.
