What does the S at the end of MDJ32X40-30S mean?
The trailing S means the cylinder is built with a magnet in the piston, so external switches can be detected in the magnetic-switch slots around the body. The version without S has no magnet; magnet is an option, never a standard feature.
Can I order this with a much longer stroke?
For a 32 mm bore in double acting form the stroke table goes up to 60 mm, and the short covers mean an over-long stroke should be avoided. This model gives 40 mm plus a 30 mm adjustable range; check other lengths against the datasheet with us.
