The MKJ is a compact square-body multi-mount cylinder with a no-rotating action: it fixes from six directions (front, back, left, right, top and bottom) and mounts side by side with adjacent units to save space. This 20 mm bore, double-acting model gives a theoretical push force of 157.1 N at 0.5 MPa over a 60 mm stroke, and the J suffix adds a 30 mm adjustable range on top. Stroke ends are cushioned by a bumper, magnetic-switch slots run around the body for sensor fitting, and the fixed rod and plate stop the piston rod from turning.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. In the MK family the rod is prevented from rotating, unlike the standard MD family where the rod is free to turn - so MKJ suits jobs where the load must stay aligned. This SKU is supplied without a magnet, as the code shows. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa at 30-500 mm/s with air filtered to 40 um. How to choose
Choose the bore for thrust: at 20 mm, double acting gives 157.1 N push and 131.9 N pull at 0.5 MPa. Pick MK over MD when the rod must not rotate; MD allows rotation. Acting options are double, single push (MSK), single pull (MTK), double rod (MKD) and adjustable (MKJ); this MKJ20X60-30 adds a 30 mm adjustable range to a 60 mm stroke. Keep strokes within the bore's table - short covers set the practical limit, so avoid an over-long stroke. Why choose the MKJ no-rotating version over a standard MD cylinder?
In the MK family a fixed rod and no-rotating plate stop the piston rod from turning, so attached plates, grippers or blades stay aligned. A standard MD double-acting cylinder allows the rod to rotate. Both share the same multi-mount body that fixes from six directions to save space.
Does this model include a magnet for position switches?
No. MKJ20X60-30 has no trailing S, so it is supplied without a magnet. The body still has magnetic-switch slots around it, so if you need position detection, order the S version of the same code, or confirm sensor suitability from the datasheet through us.
