What does the S at the end of MKJ32X40-10S mean?
The trailing S means this SKU is built with a magnet in the piston, so magnetic switches can detect rod position in the slots around the multi-mount body. Without the S, the cylinder is the same no-rotating, double-acting 32 mm bore unit but without magnet sensing. Sensors are ordered separately.
Why is the rod called no-rotating, and does that limit the stroke?
The MK family adds a no-rotating plate, bushing and fixed rod that stop the piston rod from turning, which keeps tooling square.
