About the Airtac P-400M Repair Kit P-400M-R2
The P-400M-R2 is a blank plate kit for the AirTAC 400M manifold, the base built for 400-body valves. When a station on the base is empty, the common 1/2 inch supply would leak straight out of it. This plate closes that opening so the manifold stays sealed and the fitted valves keep working exactly as before. The kit contains the plate and its screw - nothing else is needed for one station.
This part is not a valve and it does not change how any fitted valve behaves. It does one job: make an unused station air-tight. Because the 400M base accepts up to 8 stations, the plate is also the tool that turns spare stations into a real expansion plan - buy the longer base now, blank what you do not use, and unblank it later by simply screwing a 4A400 air-pilot or 4V400 / 5V400 solenoid valve onto the position.

Confirm the fit by the manifold itself: the base must be a 400M - the largest of the range, with a 1/2 inch common inlet and 1/2 inch station ports. If your bar carries 200 or 300 series valves, this plate is the wrong size and the equivalent P-200M-R2 or P-300M-R2 is what you need. Check the valve line too: a 3V400 or 7V400 manifold uses its own prefixed kit, so match the prefix if your base has one.
