About the Airtac SI32 Standard Air Cylinder SI32BX210S
The AirTAC SI32BX210S is a discontinued double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring a 32mm bore, 210mm stroke, and a SUS304 stainless steel rod. Generating 402N push force at 0.5MPa, it is replaced by the SAI32BX210S. This drop-in upgrade shares the exact ISO 15552 mounting interface, G1/8 port, and stroke. Note that 210mm is a nonstandard stroke length.
The SAI upgrade introduces a two Y-shaped one-way piston seal for low start-up pressure and long life. For this bore, safe working load is roughly 241N (60% of 402N) and vertical lift is about 20kg with a 2:1 margin. The SAI family also adds SAIL, SAIF, and BSAI lock variants the SI lacked. This -S model has a magnet for CS1-B/DS1-B sensors.

For sizing, the 40mm bore offers 628N push at 0.5MPa if more force is needed, while the 32mm is optimal for lighter loads. A plain cylinder drifts on air loss; the cushion only decelerates. For load holding, use an external rod lock, pilot check valve, or the SAIL/BSAI lock variant. At 210mm stroke, use guide rails to prevent rod bending and side loads. The -S magnet works with legacy CS1-B/DS1-B switches; SAI uses current AirTAC switches.
