About the Airtac SI32 Standard Air Cylinder SI32BX350
The AirTAC SI32BX350 is a discontinued double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with a 32 mm bore, 350 mm stroke, and a SUS304 stainless steel rod. Delivering 402 N push force at 0.5 MPa, it is replaced drop-in by the SAI32BX350. This current-production upgrade shares the exact same ISO 15552 mounting interface, G1/8 port, and M10x1.25 rod thread, fitting existing fixtures perfectly.
The SAI upgrade features a modernized piston seal with two Y-shaped one-way elements for low start-up pressure and long life. For this bore, a safe working load is roughly 241 N (about 60% of the 0.5 MPa push), yielding a 20 kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Note this SKU lacks a magnet (-S) and cannot accept a CS1-B/DS1-B sensor. For load holding on air loss, explore the SAIL or BSAI lock variants, as standard cushions only decelerate.

Replacing the Airtac SI32 Standard Air Cylinder SI32BX350 with the SAI32BX350
To replace the discontinued SI32BX350, order the SAI32BX350. Confirm the ISO 15552 mounting accessory (LB, FA, TC, etc.), the G1/8 port, and the SUS304 (-B) rod. Because this 350 mm stroke exceeds 300 mm, use an external guide to prevent rod bending and side-load wear. Sizing both ways: the 32 mm bore yields 563 N at 0.7 MPa; if less force is acceptable, a 25 mm bore might work, but for higher loads step up to a 40 mm bore (628 N at 0.5 MPa). This plain cylinder cannot hold a load without air—use a pilot check valve or the SAIL lock variant. Since this SKU has no magnet, you cannot mount position sensors.
