About the Airtac SI32 Standard Air Cylinder SI32BX450
The AirTAC SI32BX450 is a discontinued double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder with a 32 mm bore, 450 mm stroke, and SUS304 stainless steel rod. It delivers 402 N push force at 0.5 MPa via a G1/8 port. AirTAC replaced it with the SAI32BX450 drop-in upgrade, matching the bore, stroke, force, port, and ISO 15552 mounting interface exactly.
The SAI upgrade features a new piston seal with two Y-shaped one-way elements for low start-up pressure and long life. For this bore, a safe working load is roughly 241 N (about 60% of the 402 N push force), equating to a 20 kg vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Note this SKU lacks a magnet, so it cannot accept CS1-B/DS1-B sensors.

Because this 450 mm stroke is long, use external guides to prevent rod bending and side-load wear. A plain cylinder does not hold load on air loss; use an external rod lock or pilot check valve for holding, or specify the SAIL/BSAI lock variants. If downsizing, a 20 mm bore offers less force; if upsizing, a 40 mm bore yields 628 N push at 0.5 MPa. This -B SUS304 rod resists corrosion versus standard carbon steel. The Viton H seal option raises heat to 150 C.
