About the GC40010F2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8

The GC40010F2K is an AirTAC GC400 three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate filter, regulator and lubricator assembled as one supply-conditioning set. This configuration has PT3/8 (3/8 in) ports, a differential-pressure drain on the filter bowl, a standard 40 um filter element, a fitted embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a reverse (check) valve fitted. It filters water and particulate from compressed air, holds a set downstream pressure, and adds oil mist to lubricate downstream air tools and actuators.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GC family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 (larger size = larger port and more flow), with a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um (W) filter grade, gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread as order options. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-10 filter, GR400-10 regulator and GL400-10 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Where the GC40010F2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine tool air supply

Feeding filtered, regulated and lubricated air to the tool-changer, clamps and pneumatic cylinders on a machining centre, with the check valve holding the set circuit downstream of the regulator.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuation

Conditioning the air that drives diverters, sealers and gripper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, so water and debris are removed, pressure stays at the set point, and moving parts receive oil mist.

factory

Plant-wide FRL drop for assembly benches

Installed at the air drop feeding an assembly bench or work cell, giving operators one point where the supply is filtered to 40 um, regulated to the working pressure and lubricated for air tools.

Is the GC40010F2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8 the Right Station?

Size and port step up together: 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port sizes from 1/8 in up to 1 in. Pick the size against the air consumption of the line it feeds - and because flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. On this unit the drain is differential-pressure (the default), the filter grade is the standard 40 um (5 um is available as code W), and the gauge is the embedded square type scaled in psi, with an external round gauge optional. Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. A mounting bracket is included.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-10 regulator with a GF400-10 filter on that branch.

GC40010F2K AirTAC F.R.L. Combination, PT3/8 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GC series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line's air consumption and we will confirm the correct sizing and the datasheet flow figures for the GC400 on request before you order.

The trailing K in GC40010F2K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, which holds the regulated circuit if the upstream supply drops. F2 means the embedded square gauge is fitted and scaled in psi; MPa or bar scales, and an external round gauge, are available as order options.
