AirTAC GFR200 · Filter Regulator (filter + regulator in one body)

GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR200-06T is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a downstream pressure setpoint in one compact body. This size 200 unit is threaded NPT 1/8 in and is the low-pressure type (code L); the exact adjustment range for this variant is not published, so ask us to confirm it against your setpoint. It carries the 5 um element (code W) for finer filtration than the 40 um standard, the polycarbonate bowl drains by differential pressure, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa is fitted, and no mounting bracket is supplied.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, drain choices of differential-pressure, automatic or manual, 40 um or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so send us your application and we will confirm the figures from the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
06Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um Is Used

valve

Air prep for packaging-line valves

Point-of-use filtration and regulation ahead of the directional valves and small actuators on a form-fill-seal packaging machine, with the 5 um element helping keep valve spools clear of particulate.

precision_manufacturing

Bench pneumatic press and clamping

Conditioning supply air to a bench-top pneumatic press or clamping fixture, with the embedded square MPa gauge giving a local pressure readout right at the setpoint.

science

Instrument air for lab and test rigs

Feeding cleaned, regulated air to analytical instruments or leak-test rigs where finer 5 um filtration and a low-pressure setpoint variant are wanted at the point of use.

Is the GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um the Right Unit?

Size and port step up from 200 to 600 as air demand grows; this is the smallest unit, on NPT 1/8 in. Choose the drain: differential-pressure (as here, draining as pressure drop across the element builds), automatic for unattended draining, or manual. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code, fitted here. Gauges are an embedded square gauge (MPa, psi or bar scale) or an optional external round gauge; thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options, and a bracket can be added. The unit works from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) at up to 1.0 MPa (145 psi) inlet. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR200-06T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/8 in, 5 um FAQ

Flow for the GFR series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, setpoint and expected air demand and we will confirm sizing from the AirTAC datasheet on request.

This unit carries the W code, meaning a 5 um filtration element instead of the 40 um standard. Choose 5 um where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection; 40 um suits general plant air. Both grades are catalogue options across the GFR family, so you can order either at the time of purchase.
