The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a size-200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in one compact body. This configuration carries a 1/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, a round pressure gauge reading in MPa, and a built-in reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the supply is lost. It ships without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), the polycarbonate bowl suits non-freezing media, and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and offers manual or automatic drains, a 40 um standard element, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G/NPT thread options and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air to the solenoid valves and cylinders of a small stamping or punch press, with the check valve holding set pressure if the shop supply drops.
Conditioning the air feeding tape-head and flap-tuck cylinders on a carton sealer, where the 5 um element protects close-fitting valve spools from particulate.
A filtered, regulated drop at a bench or analytical instrument that needs steady low-pressure air and cannot tolerate water carryover or scale particles.
Start with the port step: size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port is the entry size of the GFR range, so step up to 300, 400 or 600 if your line needs more flow - we confirm sizing against the published curves rather than a single rated figure. This unit already carries the finer 5 um element (code W); the 40 um standard element is the choice where only coarse water and particle removal is needed. The differential-pressure drain is fitted here and needs no attention at shut-down; a manual drain suits intermittent duty, and an automatic drain suits unattended installations. The round MPa gauge is fitted; square gauges and psi or bar scales are alternatives. NPT is specified on this code, with G (BSPP) and PT available as order options. A bracket can be added on other codes - this one omits it.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR performance as flow curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM figure here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet curve and sizing before you order.
The W code on this model selects the finer 5 um grade, which suits valves, instruments and other components sensitive to fine particles. The blank-code 40 um element is the standard choice for general plant air. Both grades are available across the GFR range, and the element choice does not change the pressure regulation function.
