The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 5 um, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure control combined in one compact body. This size 200 unit carries a 1/4 in NPT port, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square gauge reading in bar so the setpoint is visible at a glance. The polycarbonate bowl suits the -5 to 70 C non-freezing operating range, and a mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), with a standard regulation range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, PT, G or NPT threads, and an optional reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clamps, swing cylinders and small presses on an assembly fixture: the 5 um element keeps spool valves clean while the regulator holds a steady clamping pressure at the 1/4 in drop from the main header.
Conditioning supply air for bench-top test rigs and pilot-scale rigs where fine particulate and a visible bar-scale setpoint matter; the differential-pressure drain keeps the bowl clear during long test runs.
Point-of-use regulation at packaging, labelling and cartoning machines, where the 5 um grade protects diverters and print heads and the compact size 200 body mounts on the machine frame with the included bracket.
Start with the port and size: this GFR200-08 steps up to 1/4 in NPT on the size 200 body, which suits lighter-duty lines; larger GFR300/400/600 bodies carry bigger ports and more flow. You have already chosen the fine 5 um element (W) over the 40 um standard - the right call where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments are sensitive to finer particles. The differential-pressure drain is the set-and-forget option; choose an automatic drain for unattended condensate removal or a manual drain where someone checks the bowl routinely. The square gauge here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales are also available, and an external round gauge can be specified instead. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options - order the variant you need. A mounting bracket is included with this unit. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for the GFR200-08 so you can size it correctly before ordering.
The W in the code GFR20008F3WT specifies the fine 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, and F3 specifies the embedded square gauge with a bar scale (MPa and psi scales are also catalogue options). The T specifies the NPT thread on the 1/4 in port; PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) is also available to order.
