The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation combined in a single 200-size body with a 1/4 in NPT port. This configuration is the low-pressure type, fitted with a 5 um filter element (one grade finer than the 40 um standard), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square gauge reading in bar. A mounting bracket is included and the polycarbonate bowl suits the non-freezing -5 to 70 C working range.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 in and options for manual or automatic drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding compact cylinders and gripper valves on a cartoning or case-packing line, where the low-pressure regulator holds a gentle working pressure and the 5 um element protects sensitive directional valves from particulate carryover.
Conditioning the supply to sample-handling actuators and pneumatic dosing stations in lab and process-analyser skids, where clean, finely filtered air at a stable low setting keeps measurement hardware behaving repeatably.
Supplying the air cylinders that flip diverters and stop gates on a distribution-centre conveyor, with the differential-pressure drain keeping condensate out of the circuit during continuous shift operation.
Size the unit by the port step your circuit needs: 200-size takes 1/8 to 1/2 in ports, and this code carries the 1/4 in NPT version. Choose the drain to match maintenance access: differential-pressure (as here) needs no operator, automatic drains on a timer-free principle, or manual where you want a deliberate dump. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (this unit, code W) for finer protection of downstream components. Gauges are embedded square as standard with MPa, psi or bar scales (bar here), or an optional external round gauge; threads come as PT standard with G and NPT as orderable options, and a bracket is included unless code J is specified. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact configuration on request before you order.
The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air, while the 5 um grade (code W, fitted to this unit) removes finer particulate to protect sensitive valves, cylinders and instruments downstream. Both grades are available across the GFR range, so you can match the element to how clean your application needs the air to be.
