The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure 5um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at a set point, in a single body. This GFR200-08 is the 200 size with a 1/4 in NPT port, the low-pressure regulator type, and a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the 40 um standard. Condensate leaves the polycarbonate bowl by differential-pressure drain, an embedded square gauge with a psi scale is fitted, and a reverse/check valve is included; this J-coded version is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, manual or automatic drain options, 40 um or 5 um elements, and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, reduced-pressure air to low-pressure cylinders and air chucks on a packaging line, with the 5 um element protecting downstream valves from water carryover and fine debris.
Serving bench air points where instruments and small pneumatic test rigs need finely filtered air held at a gentle low pressure, with the psi gauge giving a direct local readout.
Regulating supply air to diverters and stop gates on a conveyor system, where the fitted check valve holds the set pressure against back-flow when upstream supply dips.
Pick the size by port and flow step: 200 is the compact frame with a 1/4 in port here, while the 300, 400 and 600 frames carry larger ports and more flow. Drain choices are differential-pressure (this unit), automatic (A) or manual (M); filter grade is 5 um here versus the 40 um standard; and the square psi gauge can be ordered with MPa or bar scales or as an external round gauge. Thread is NPT on this code, with G (BSPP) and PT available to order, and the J code omits the mounting bracket. Because flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, send us your application and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your inlet pressure, set pressure and expected air demand, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
W is the 5 um filter element, the finer option against the 40 um standard. Choose 5 um when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection from particulate; the 40 um element is the default choice for general plant air.
