The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single compact body. This configuration is the size 200 unit with a 1/4 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element, and a manual drain you operate by hand to empty the PC (polycarbonate) bowl. It regulates from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), handles a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and works from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No gauge is fitted (code N), and a reverse/check valve is built in. A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and can be ordered with a 5 um element (code W), automatic or differential-pressure drain, a gauge, and G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feed for the pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders on a CNC machining centre, with the check valve holding the set pressure at the machine.
Point-of-use conditioning for the air cylinders and grippers on a carton sealing and palletising conveyor, keeping water and debris out of the valve bank.
A regulated, filtered air drop feeding pneumatic control panels and positioners on a factory floor, with manual drain suited to a supervised maintenance round.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port; if your line needs more flow, step up to GFR300/400/600 with 3/8 to 1 in ports. Choose the drain: this version is manual (code M), where someone drains the bowl by hand; automatic and differential-pressure drain versions are available if you cannot rely on manual attention. The 40 um element here is the standard grade; specify the W code for the 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. No gauge is fitted, so add your own or order a gauge variant. Threads come as PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT - this unit is the NPT option. A mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR20008MNTK selects a manual drain, so the PC bowl is emptied by hand rather than automatically; N means no gauge is fitted. If you need automatic or differential-pressure draining, or an embedded gauge, those are available as other GFR200-08 variants.
