The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200-08 is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. This configuration has 1/4 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate with a 40 um filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, a built-in reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options including automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um filter element (code W), square embedded or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP), NPT or PT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop into a machining centre's pneumatic circuit, it removes water and particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the tool-changer and clamping valves, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if supply dips.
Installed ahead of the cylinder and valve bank on a carton-forming or wrapping machine, it cleans the compressed air and sets the working pressure the packaging cylinders were designed for, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible setpoint.
Fitted on the supply to a bench or fixture clamping circuit, it filters the incoming air and regulates the clamp pressure to the required setting, while the reverse/check valve helps maintain the clamped state against supply fluctuation.
Start with the port size: this unit is the size 200 body with 1/4 in NPT threads; larger sizes 300, 400 and 600 step up in port and flow capacity, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than oversizing on guesswork. Drain choice matters: this version has a manual drain, which suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl periodically; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available if the unit will be left unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed.
Gauge and thread finish the selection: the round external gauge here reads in psi, with MPa and bar scales also available, and PT is the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options to order. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for the GFR200 size on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR20008MC2TK means the polycarbonate bowl has a manual drain: condensate collected by the 40 um element is bled off by hand. If the unit will be mounted where nobody can drain it regularly, the automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain versions of the same GFR200 regulator are the better choice.
