The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a size-200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This configuration has 1/4 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, a fitted reverse/check valve, and an embedded square gauge reading in bar; an external round gauge is available as an option. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl should be drained by hand as part of routine maintenance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) filter element, gauge scale choices, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and bracket variations. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for a machine-tool clamping circuit: the 40 um element keeps swarf-carrying condensate out of the clamping cylinders while the regulator holds a steady set pressure on the 1/4 in NPT drop, and the check valve holds the circuit if supply pressure dips.
Feeding diverter and stopper cylinders on a parcel sortation conveyor, where the manual-drain bowl suits a line that is shut down and bled at shift end and the square bar gauge gives operators a quick set-point check.
Conditioning the air feed to glue-application heads on a carton packaging line: filtered and regulated air at a stable pressure keeps valve actuation consistent, and the reverse/check valve prevents backflow when the machine section is isolated.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is size 200 with 1/4 in NPT ports; larger sizes (300/400/600) carry larger ports and more flow capacity, so step up if your line needs more air. Drain choice matters in practice: this version has a manual drain you operate by hand, while automatic and differential-pressure drain variants are available if you cannot rely on regular manual draining. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the 5 um (W) element if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The fitted square gauge reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are options. PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT are catalogue options to order - this unit is specified with NPT. A mounting bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR200-08MF3TK specifies a manual drain bowl: condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and an operator drains it by hand. Choose manual where the unit is accessible and the line is checked regularly; choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants where the unit is hard to reach or runs unattended. Note that with a manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
