The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a size-200 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 1/4 in NPT port, the standard 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate whenever the pressure drop across the element rises, a round pressure gauge scaled in psi, a built-in reverse (check) valve, and a mounting bracket. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filter elements, and gauge scale options. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the shop-air feed to a CNC machining centre's pneumatic tool-changer and clamping circuits: the 40 um element strips water and swarf carried in the ring main, and the psi gauge lets maintenance set and verify the clamp pressure at the machine.
Feeding clean, regulated air to lab analysers or sample-prep stations: the filter section removes moisture and particulate ahead of sensitive pneumatics, the regulator holds a steady setpoint, and the check valve prevents backflow into the supply line.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to the cylinders and air bells on a packaging or bottling conveyor: the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of the actuators between maintenance rounds, and the bracket gives a clean panel mount next to the line.
Start with the port step: size 200 with a 1/4 in NPT port suits lighter-duty circuits, while sizes 300, 400 and 600 carry progressively larger ports and higher flow capacity. Choose the drain to match maintenance access: differential-pressure (as fitted here) needs no timer, automatic drains continuously, and manual drain suits attended installations. Filter grade is 40 um as standard; specify W for the 5 um element where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar) - this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options; a bracket is included, or specify J to omit it.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a flow figure here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet curve and check the sizing for you before you order.
The differential-pressure drain fitted to this unit discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises - no timer or operator action needed. If you prefer continuous draining regardless of load, choose the automatic drain (code A); if the unit sits where an operator can bleed it routinely, the manual drain (code M) is the simpler choice.
