The AirTAC GFR200-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT1/4, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR200-08 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body for compressed air. This 200-size unit is specified with a PT1/4 (1/4 in) PT thread, a 40 um filter element, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, and the low-pressure regulator type. An external round gauge with a psi scale is fitted, and a mounting bracket is included. As a filter regulator it removes water and particulate from the air supply and holds the downstream pressure at the set point - it does not lubricate the air.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with a choice of ports, threads (PT standard, G and NPT as order options), drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge styles and scales, and a low-pressure regulator type. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the clamp-and-seal cylinders of a carton or blister packaging line, where the low-pressure regulator type suits actuator circuits that run at modest set points and the manual drain is bled during shift changeover.
Supplies clean, pressure-controlled air to the thread-tension and lay-on rollers of a textile or film converting line, with the 40 um element stopping water and particulate from reaching the pneumatic tensioners.
Conditions the supply at a bench drop on a test rig or pilot line, letting a technician dial in a low regulated pressure on the fitted psi gauge for instruments and small pneumatic fixtures.
Start with the port step: the GFR range runs 200/300/400/600 across 1/8 in to 1 in ports, so match the size to the air demand of the line rather than to the pipe alone. This unit is the low-pressure regulator type, so confirm the set-point band you need before ordering - the exact range for the low-pressure type is not published and we will confirm it from the datasheet. Choose the drain to suit access: manual (as here) needs periodic bleeding, automatic drains on shut-off, and the default differential-pressure type drains with flow. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) for finer protection; gauge style is the embedded square type with optional external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales; thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; a bracket is included unless coded J.
Because catalogue flow is given as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your line demand and application and we will confirm the sizing and the full datasheet figures for you on request before you order.
The M in GFR20008MLC2 specifies a manual drain bowl, which you bleed periodically to remove collected condensate. The GFR family also offers automatic drain (code A) and the default differential-pressure drain, so choose the type that matches how often the installation is attended.
