The AirTAC GFR200-08 NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at a set point, in one compact body. This 200-size configuration is built with a 1/4 in NPT port, a manual drain for emptying the PC (polycarbonate) bowl, and the standard 40 um filter element. The regulator is the low-pressure type, a round external pressure gauge scaled in psi is fitted, a reverse/check valve is included, and a mounting bracket comes with the unit.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range is made in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes covering 1/8 in to 1 in ports, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, an optional 5 um element (code W), gauge scale choices, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options alongside the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and full datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a low-pressure clamping or forming circuit on a bench press, where the GFR200-08 cleans the incoming air and holds a steady set pressure at the cylinder.
Conditioning the 1/4 in air drop that feeds sealers and labellers on a packaging line, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled shift changeovers.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to pilot-scale test rigs and laboratory automation, where the psi-scaled gauge lets technicians read and log the set pressure directly.
Choose the size by port and demand: 200 units take 1/8 in to 1/4 in ports, while 300, 400 and 600 step up to 1/2 in and beyond for larger circuits. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rating, ask us to check the curve against your application before ordering. Drain choice matters: manual (this unit) means opening the drain valve periodically by hand, automatic drains continuously, and differential-pressure drains as the element loads up. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify code W for the 5 um option where finer filtration is needed.
Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar); this unit carries a round external gauge in psi, while an embedded square gauge is the standard alternative. Thread is PT as the AirTAC standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is built with NPT. A mounting bracket is included, and the J variant omits it. The low-pressure regulator type suits circuits set below the standard range; its exact adjustment range is not published, so confirm it with us on request.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow curve and the full datasheet figures on request before you order.
This unit is coded M for a manual drain: you open the drain valve periodically to expel collected water from the bowl. If you prefer hands-off operation, the same GFR200-08 body is available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank) - just ask for that variant.
