GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR20006F2G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 200-size unit carries a G1/8 (BSPP) port, a 40 um standard filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the fitted embedded square gauge reads in psi so set-points can be checked at a glance. The polycarbonate bowl suits this size, and the mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, manual or automatic drains, a 5 um element (code W) where finer filtration is needed, MPa/psi/bar gauge scales, and G or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
06Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine tool air prep

Clean, regulated air feeding the tool-change and clamping circuits of a machining centre, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible set-point at the machine.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Conditioning the air that drives pick-and-place cylinders and sealing jaws on a packaging conveyor, where the differential drain keeps condensate off the valves.

valve

Pneumatic valve actuation skid

Filtering and regulating supply air to quarter-turn actuated valves on a process skid, holding a stable set-point so the actuators stroke consistently.

Is the GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um the Right Unit?

Size the unit by the port and flow step: 200 is the smallest GFR frame (G1/8 here), stepping up through 300, 400 and 600 as flow demand grows. Choose the drain to match duty: differential-pressure (this unit) drains itself under load, automatic (A) drains on a cycle, and manual (M) needs an operator. Filtration is 40 um standard; specify W for 5 um where finer protection matters. The square gauge is fitted here in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code, with PT standard and NPT orderable. A bracket is included.

Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR20006F2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and acceptable pressure drop, and we will confirm the right size from the datasheet curves on request.

The differential-pressure drain (the default) opens to expel condensate when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises, so it needs no operator attention under normal load. If your flow is light or intermittent, an automatic drain (code A) drains on a cycle, and a manual drain (code M) gives full control where an operator checks the bowl regularly.
