GFR20006MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR20006MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR20006MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain

The GFR20006MF2G is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the 200 size with a G1/8 port, a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate), and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um (code W) element option, gauge and scale choices, and G or NPT thread variants to order. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Is the GFR20006MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain the Right Unit?

Size and port step up together: 200 through 600 covers 1/8 to 1 inch ports, so pick the size whose flow curve meets your demand rather than oversizing on port alone. Drain type matters in use: manual drain (this unit, code M) needs periodic bowl draining, while automatic or differential-pressure drain suits unattended installations. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for the 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge is standard (psi scale here); an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar is optional. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the standard thread and G/NPT are order options. A mounting bracket is included.

Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR20006MF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as characteristic curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm from the datasheet curves whether the GFR200 at G1/8 suits your application.

The M in the code specifies a manual drain bowl: condensate is released by operating the drain by hand at intervals. Choose manual drain where the unit is accessible and checked regularly; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain where the installation runs unattended. Note that the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain.
