The AirTAC GFR20008JF2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 5um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR20008JF2WT is a GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This 200-size unit has a 1/4 in NPT port, the 5 um filter element (code W) in place of the standard 40 um, a differential-pressure drain, a polycarbonate bowl, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a standard regulator with 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment, and no mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and can be ordered with 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and with or without a bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding the directional valves and cylinders of a carton wrapper or case sealer with clean, dry air held at a stable setpoint, so wrapper timing and seal pressure stay consistent through the shift.
Supplying clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture with regulated holding pressure, while the 5 um element keeps fine particulate out of the clamp valves that position each part.
Powering the air cylinders that push cartons between conveyor lanes, with the regulator set to the gate pressure the diverter was designed for and condensate drained automatically on pressure drop.
Size and port set the capacity: step up from 200 (1/4 in) to 300, 400 or 600 as your air demand grows, and match the thread to your piping - this unit is NPT1/4, with G (BSPP) or PT available to order. Choose the drain: differential-pressure (this unit, which drains on pressure drop), automatic, or manual. Choose the element: 40 um standard for general air, or 5 um (this unit) for finer protection of valves and cylinders. Gauge scale is selectable - this one reads psi. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your supply pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your supply pressure, set pressure and air demand, and we will confirm the flow from the GFR200 datasheet on request.
The W code on this model fits the 5 um element, which captures finer particles than the standard 40 um element - useful ahead of precision valves, cylinders and other sensitive components. For general water and chip removal the 40 um standard element is the usual choice; both grades are available across the GFR range.
