The AirTAC GFR20008MC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008MC3WT is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This unit is threaded NPT1/4 (1/4 in), carries the 5 um filter element (code W) in place of the 40 um standard, and uses a manual drain, so condensate is emptied by opening the drain rather than automatically. A round pressure gauge scaled in bar is fitted, the regulator is the standard type with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range, a mounting bracket is included, and the polycarbonate bowl handles up to 1.0 MPa (145 psi) inlet at -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and is available with 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, embedded square or external round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the solenoid valves and clamping actuators on a CNC machining centre. The 5 um element protects the directional valves from fine particulate, the bar-scaled gauge lets operators verify the setpoint at a glance, and the manual drain is emptied at shift start.
Regulating supply pressure to the pusher and sealing cylinders on a carton-sealing or shrink-wrap line. The filter regulator keeps the cylinder pressure steady through the shift, the round gauge gives line staff a visible reference, and the manual drain suits draining during changeover.
Positioned ahead of the valve manifold on a robotic pick-and-place gripper, where the 5 um element suits the small pilot valves nearby and steady regulated pressure supports repeatable gripping. The included bracket simplifies mounting on the robot frame or cell panel.
Size the unit by the port and flow step: GFR200 with its 1/4 in NPT port is the entry size, with 300, 400 and 600 stepping up in port and flow capacity - match the step to your demand rather than oversizing. Choose the drain to suit the installation: manual (this unit) needs periodic draining, automatic drains empty on their own, and differential-pressure drains suit positions where a pressure drop is always present. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um (this unit, code W) when downstream equipment needs finer air. Gauges are an embedded square gauge as standard or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales; thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as orderable options, and a bracket is included unless code J is specified.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details - pressure, port and demand - and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and check the sizing for you before you order.
The W code fits the 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, which suits downstream valves and instruments that need finer filtration. The M code makes the drain manual, so condensate is emptied by hand at intervals. If the unit will be mounted where regular manual draining is impractical, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions of the same series.
