The AirTAC GFR20008MJC2WK AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008MJC2WK is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This 200-size unit is threaded PT1/4 (1/4 in), carries a 5 um filter element (the finer W grade, against the 40 um standard), and drains by hand through its manual drain - you open it as part of a routine rather than relying on automatic discharge. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see accumulated condensate at a glance. Pressure is adjusted within a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) range, a round gauge reading in psi is fitted, and a reverse/check valve is built in to hold upstream pressure from backing through the unit. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with your choice of drain type, filter grade, gauge and scale, thread (PT standard, G and NPT as options), bracket, and check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds the clamp cylinders on a milling or turning cell: the 5 um element keeps swarf-carrying, wet shop air out of the clamp circuit, the regulator holds a steady clamping pressure, and the check valve keeps the circuit from bleeding back through the unit if supply pressure dips.
Sits ahead of the air cylinders that drive sealing jaws, pushers and diverters on a carton or pouch line, giving the machine one point where water and fine dirt are stripped out and working pressure is set and held for consistent cycle behavior.
Prepares the air feed to spray guns in a body-shop or industrial finishing booth: the 5 um grade protects finish quality from water and fine particles, the regulator sets gun inlet pressure, and the psi gauge gives the operator a direct reading at the booth wall.
Start with the port step: this unit is 1/4 in PT. If your line's air consumption sits near the top of what a 1/4 in circuit normally carries, step up to a 300- or 400-size body - and because flow is published as curves, not a single rated number, send us your demand and we will confirm the right size against the datasheet before you order. The 5 um element here suits air that feeds sensitive components; if you only need bulk water and chip removal, the 40 um standard grade is the lower-restriction choice. The manual drain means someone opens the bowl drain on a schedule - choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain version instead if the unit sits where nobody walks. The fitted round gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are also available, and the embedded square gauge is the standard alternative. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT orderable; this configuration comes without a mounting bracket, and the check valve is already fitted.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR performance as flow curves, not as a single rated flow number, so we do not state a figure here - and we will not guess one. Send us your line's air demand and working pressure and we will confirm against the datasheet curves whether this 1/4 in, 200-size unit is correctly sized before you order.
Manual drain means the bowl drain is opened by hand to expel collected condensate, so it belongs where someone passes regularly and can make draining part of a routine. If the unit will sit unattended, order the same GFR200-08 with the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain code instead - same body, same port, self-draining.
