The AirTAC GFR20008MLF2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single compact body, so one component cleans the air and sets a stable downstream pressure. This configuration, GFR20008MLF2WT, is the size 200 unit with 1/4 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain for emptying the bowl, and the low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run at reduced pressure. It comes with the embedded square gauge scaled in psi, a polycarbonate bowl, and a mounting bracket included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in up to 1 in, and options including automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a CNC fixture line, the filter section strips water and fine particles before the air reaches clamp cylinders, while the low-pressure regulator holds the clamping circuit at the reduced setting the fixture designer specified, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct read of set pressure.
Along a packaging conveyor, air cylinders divert, push and eject product all shift long. This unit filters the shop air to 5 um, regulates it to the low pressure those actuators need, and its manual drain lets maintenance empty collected condensate during scheduled rounds.
On a test bench or lab rig where instruments and small pneumatic devices run at reduced pressure, the low-pressure regulator type sets a gentle supply, the 5 um element keeps fine debris out of sensitive components, and the square psi gauge supports repeatable setup between tests.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 200 with 1/4 in NPT ports; if your line needs more flow capacity, step up to size 300, 400 or 600 with the matching larger port. Choose the drain to suit access: this version has a manual drain, which you open periodically to remove collected condensate; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on other configurations if the unit sits where manual draining is impractical. Filtration is 5 um here (the 40 um standard grade is the alternative) - pick 5 um where downstream valves and cylinders need finer protection. The gauge is the embedded square type scaled in psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread is NPT on this code; PT (standard) and G are the other order options. A mounting bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can quote. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port size, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code selects the manual drain on the filter bowl: condensate and oil collected during operation are released by opening the drain by hand, typically during scheduled maintenance rounds. If the unit will be mounted where manual draining is impractical, ask us about the automatic or differential-pressure drain configurations in the same series.
