The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT1/4, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in one compact body. This 300-size unit is threaded PT1/4 (1/4 in), carries the 40 um standard filter element, and drains condensate automatically, so the polycarbonate bowl empties itself during normal operation. It regulates from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the C2K code adds a round pressure gauge reading in psi plus a built-in reverse (check) valve; a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, an optional 5 um (W) filter element, G or NPT thread options, and gauge or no-gauge variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filter regulator feeding the cylinders and air cylinders on a carton wrapping or sealing line, keeping clean, dry air at a set pressure while the automatic drain handles condensate without operator attention.
Mounted at the machine inlet to filter machining-air supply down to 40 um and hold a steady regulated pressure to clamps, tool-change actuators and air blast nozzles, with the psi gauge giving a local reading.
Regulating and filtering the air feeding stoppers, pushers and diverters on a bottling or distribution conveyor, where the check valve holds the set pressure against momentary upstream dips.
Sizing starts with the port step: this 300-size unit takes PT1/4 (1/4 in); step up to 400 or 600 for larger ports and more flow, or down to 200 for compact lines. Choose the drain to match maintenance access: automatic (this unit, code A) empties the PC bowl unattended, manual suits attended stations, and differential-pressure is the catalogue default. Filter grade is 40 um standard; specify W for 5 um finer filtration. The regulator is the standard type with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range, and the round psi gauge can be ordered with MPa or bar scales instead. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your flow requirement and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and line conditions and we will confirm the datasheet curve for this 300-size, 1/4 in unit against your application before you order.
Code A fits an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate from the polycarbonate bowl without operator attention. The GFR300 is also available with a manual drain (code M) or the differential-pressure drain (no code). Note the regulation range differs slightly: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) on this automatic-drain unit versus 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with a manual drain.
