The AirTAC GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a G1/4 (BSPP) port, a 5 um filter element, an automatic drain, an external round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse (check) valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl is supported by the included mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR300 series. The GFR line is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT as order options) and reverse valve. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for the pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders on a CNC machining cell: 5 um filtration protects the directional valves, the regulator holds a steady downstream setting, and the check valve holds pressure if the supply dips.
Conditioning the air feeding gripper and diverting cylinders on a packaging conveyor line; the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the bowl through continuous shifts without an operator having to bleed it.
Filtered, regulated supply for air tools and pick-and-place actuators at a manual assembly station, with the round psi gauge giving operators a clear local pressure reading at the bench.
Size and port set the air capacity: this GFR300 uses a 1/4 in port; step up to GFR400 or GFR600 for larger lines, or down to GFR200 for compact supplies - match the size to the flow your circuit needs. Choose the drain: automatic (this model, code A) empties the bowl without attention, manual needs a periodic press, and the differential-pressure default drains as the pressure drop rises. The filter grade here is 5 um (code W); the 40 um standard element suits circuits where coarser filtration is acceptable. The gauge is the optional external round type reading psi; embedded square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales are also available. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the standard and NPT is an order option. A mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR300 flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
This model carries drain code A: the bowl discharges collected condensate on its own, which suits unattended or continuous-duty installations. Manual drain (code M) is the choice where an operator can bleed the bowl regularly, and the differential-pressure default drains as the pressure drop across the element rises.
