AirTAC GFR300 · Filter Regulator (filter + regulator in one body)

GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, psi Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, psi Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-08G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 300 unit has a G1/4 (BSPP) port, a 40 um standard filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element rises. The fitted round gauge reads in psi, and a reverse/check valve is built in to hold downstream pressure if the supply is lost.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR range, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT/G/NPT threads, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, and MPa, psi or bar gauge scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Is the GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, psi Gauge the Right Unit?

Size 300 with a G1/4 port suits lines running at moderate air consumption; step up to size 400 or 600 for higher flow, or down to size 200 for compact circuits. The 40 um element is the standard choice for general plant air; specify the W variant only if your application needs 5 um finishing. Drain choice matters: differential-pressure (this unit) drains on pressure drop, automatic drains on a timer-free cycle, and manual requires someone to open the bowl. This unit's round gauge reads in psi; embedded square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales are also available in the range. Threads come as PT (standard), G or NPT to order, and a mounting bracket is included.

Because flow is published only as curves and not as a single rated number, please ask us to confirm sizing against your actual air demand before ordering - we will pull the datasheet figures for you.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-08G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/4, psi Gauge FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and required air consumption, and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures on request before you order.

K means a reverse/check valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops. This unit has a differential-pressure drain: condensate is expelled automatically when the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises, with no manual draining needed. Automatic (A) and manual (M) drain versions are also available in the range.
