GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR300-08T is a size-300 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/4 in NPT ports, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element is high enough, and the standard 40 um filter element. A square pressure gauge is fitted and reads in psi, the regulator is the standard (not low-pressure) type, no reverse/check valve is fitted, and no mounting bracket is supplied.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT thread, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, and gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar. Rated flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Assembly plant air drops

Installed at point-of-use drops across an assembly plant, giving each workstation filtered and regulated air for pneumatic screwdrivers, clamps and small actuators.

Is the GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 40 um the Right Unit?

Size up by port and flow: this unit is the 300 size with 1/4 in NPT ports; step to 200 for smaller lines or 400/600 for larger ones. Drain choice: differential-pressure (this unit) needs no attention in normal service, automatic (code A) empties the bowl continuously, and manual (code M) is emptied by hand. Filtration: 40 um standard here, or 5 um (code W) where finer protection is needed. Gauge scale is psi on this unit; MPa or bar scales can be ordered instead. Thread: NPT here, with PT (standard) and G available as order options. Brackets are optional on GFR - this configuration ships without one. Flow for the series is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures and check the sizing for you on request.

This unit has a differential-pressure drain: condensate collected in the bowl is discharged automatically when the pressure drop across the filter element rises high enough, so no manual draining is needed in normal service. If you want continuous discharge choose the automatic drain (code A), or the manual drain (code M) where you prefer to empty the bowl by hand.
