The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure in a single body. This unit is the 300 size with a 3/8 in NPT port, built as the low-pressure type for circuits that run at reduced setpoints. It carries the 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a polycarbonate bowl. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and no gauge or mounting bracket is included in this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um filtration, gauge options and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On air-jet looms, this filter regulator conditions the weft-insertion air line: the 5 um element strips water and fine particles, the low-pressure regulator holds the gentle setpoint the jets are set up for, and the automatic drain clears condensate between shifts.
Sealing and tucking cylinders on a carton-sealing line often run at reduced pressure. This unit filters the shop air to 5 um and regulates it at a low setpoint ahead of the valve manifold, while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the circuit during continuous runs.
Bench-top analyzers and pneumatic sample-handling fixtures need clean, steady air at modest pressure. Fed from a shop compressor through this unit, the 5 um element protects sensitive components and the low-pressure regulator trims the supply to the instrument's setpoint.
Size and port set the flow capacity: the 300 size with a 3/8 in port sits mid-range in the GFR line, one step above the 200 class and below the 400 and 600 sizes - match the step to the air demand of the circuit, and we will confirm the flow curve against your application before you order. This unit is already configured with the 5 um element, the automatic drain and the low-pressure regulator type.
Other decodable choices across the family: 40 um standard filtration instead of 5 um; differential-pressure or manual drain instead of automatic; an embedded square gauge (MPa, psi or bar scale) if you want setpoint indication; PT as the standard thread with G and NPT as order options; and a bracket where mounting is needed. This code specifies no gauge and no bracket.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter-regulator flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, setpoint and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
This code specifies the automatic drain (A), which expels collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted away from daily reach. The GFR300 line is also available with a manual drain (M) or the differential-pressure drain, the catalogue default; tell us which you prefer when ordering.
