The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, Low-Pressure, G3/8 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body, so one unit does the work of a filter and a regulator without a second connection. This configuration is the 300 size with a G3/8 (BSPP) port, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and the low-pressure (L) type regulator for circuits that run below standard line pressures. It is supplied with an external round pressure gauge scaled in psi and fitted with a reverse/check valve (code K); no mounting bracket is included (code J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, and PT, G or NPT threads. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and the exact low-pressure regulation range against your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fixture clamps and swing cylinders that must run below standard shop-air pressure benefit from the L-type regulator, while the 5 um element keeps spool valves free of particulate and the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the circuit.
On packaging lines where cylinders, grippers and diverters run continuously, a single G3/8 filter regulator conditions the air at the machine inlet, and the automatic drain handles water without an operator opening a bowl on every shift.
Machine-tool air feeds that must not lose pressure during a supply dip use the fitted reverse/check valve to hold the downstream side, while the filter section protects air bearings, tool-changers and purge nozzles from water and 5 um-scale debris.
Start with the port step: the 300 size carries a 3/8 inch port, and the correct size is the one whose flow curve covers your demand at your working pressure - we can check that against the datasheet on request. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (this unit) suits enclosed or infrequently visited installations, manual suits attended stations, and differential-pressure is the default. Choose the 5 um element (W) where downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer air than the 40 um standard element delivers. The round gauge here is scaled in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives in the family. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the catalogue standard and NPT is available to order. A bracket is optional (this configuration omits it), and the fitted reverse/check valve holds downstream pressure if upstream supply is interrupted. Note this is the low-pressure (L) type regulator, intended for circuits below standard line pressure; its exact regulation range is not published in our sheet, so confirm it with us before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not state a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet flow curve for the 300 size at your working pressure before you order.
The automatic drain (code A) ejects collected condensate on its own, which suits enclosed panels or machines that are not checked daily; manual and differential-pressure drains are the alternatives in the family. The 5 um element (code W) is the fine option versus the 40 um standard, chosen when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air. Both are decodable choices you make at ordering, not retrofits.
