GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: a 5 um filter element and a pressure regulator combined in one body, so a single size-300 unit removes water and particulate from the air and holds downstream pressure. This configuration has NPT3/8 (3/8 in) ports, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a round pressure gauge with an MPa scale, and a standard regulator adjustable from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and this code is supplied without a mounting bracket and without a reverse/check valve.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and with a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic stamping press

Feeding the main air valve of a small stamping or forming press: the 5 um element keeps scale and pipe rust out of the valve, while the regulator holds a steady set pressure for consistent stroke force.

view_module

Packaging line sealing station

Supplying sealing and crimping cylinders on a packaging machine, where the manual-drain bowl is emptied at shift checks and the round gauge lets operators verify the set pressure at a glance.

build

Robotic pick-and-place cell

Conditioning air to grippers and gripper valves on a robot cell: filtered, regulated air at a fixed setting keeps grip force repeatable from cycle to cycle.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain the Right Unit?

Size 300 with 3/8 in NPT ports sits in the middle of the GFR range; step down to 200 or up to 400/600 according to the air your line uses. Choose the drain to match your maintenance routine: manual (this unit) is emptied by hand at set intervals, automatic drains continuously, and the differential-pressure default drains in service with flow through the unit. The 5 um element (code W) suits equipment that needs finer filtration than the 40 um standard, and the round MPa gauge fitted here can be specified instead as an embedded square gauge with MPa, psi or bar scale. G (BSPP) and NPT threads are order options where PT is the standard, and a mounting bracket can be added if the code is ordered without J. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um Manual Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your operating pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

Code M specifies a manual drain: the polycarbonate bowl is emptied by hand at intervals you set. The GFR300 is also available with an automatic drain or the differential-pressure drain, and with the 40 um standard element instead of the 5 um (W) element fitted here.
