GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a size-300 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa, a reverse/check valve fitted, and a mounting bracket included. It handles a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and operates from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions. With manual drain, the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with options including automatic or manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) filter element, gauge style and scale, a reverse/check valve, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press station supply

Cleaned and regulated air for a bench-mounted pneumatic press or clamping fixture, where the operator sets working pressure once per shift and drains the bowl during routine checks.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator feed

Point-of-use air preparation for conveyor diverters, carton sealers and bagging heads, keeping water and debris out of cylinders while holding a stable set pressure.

factory

Machine tool air drop

A filtered, regulated drop at a CNC or lathe tooling station, with the reverse/check valve holding downstream pressure if the main supply is interrupted.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain the Right Unit?

Start with the port step: this unit is size 300 with a 3/8 in NPT port; step up to size 400 or 600 if your line needs more flow capacity, or down to size 200 for smaller circuits. Choose the drain to match maintenance access: manual drain (this model) requires someone to open it periodically, automatic drain empties itself, and differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. Filter grade is 40 um as standard; specify the W code for 5 um when finer filtration is needed. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge (this unit, MPa scale) or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is PT as the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT (this model) are order options. A bracket is included on this configuration; J removes it.

Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, Manual Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR300-10 on request before you order.

The M in the code specifies a manual drain bowl: condensate is emptied by hand at service intervals, which suits stations that are checked regularly. If you prefer the bowl to empty itself, order the A (automatic) version; the blank code is the differential-pressure drain. With manual drain, the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
