GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate as flow passes through, and a round pressure gauge reading in bar. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
3Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge Is Used

factory

Packaging machine air preparation

Feeding clean, regulated air to the cylinders and grippers of a carton or bag packaging line, where the 5 um element protects close-tolerance valve internals from water and debris.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor drive circuits

Supplying regulated pressure to pneumatic conveyor gate and diverter actuators on a bottling or food-handling line, with the differential-pressure drain keeping condensate out of the circuit during production.

science

Laboratory and test-rig air supply

Conditioning shop air for bench-top test rigs and lab automation, where the 5 um grade and a bar-reading gauge give operators a clean supply and a clear local pressure reference.

Is the GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge the Right Unit?

Size the unit by the port and flow step: 200, 300, 400 and 600 move up through port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, so pick the size that matches the line and the air demand. This unit carries the 5 um element (code W); the 40 um standard grade suits general protection while 5 um suits finer downstream equipment. Drain here is differential-pressure, which discharges condensate automatically under flow; automatic or manual drain variants exist if the duty needs them. The round gauge on this unit reads in bar; square gauges and MPa or psi scales are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this code, with PT and G available to order, and a mounting bracket is included.

Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here - send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 NPT3/8 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 5 um, Bar Gauge FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.

This unit's differential-pressure drain bleeds collected condensate out of the bowl automatically as air flows through the filter, with no operator action. If the unit sits in a low-flow position or you prefer scheduled servicing, automatic (code A) or manual (code M) drain variants are available in the same series.
