The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: a 5 um filter element and a pressure regulator combined in one body, so the compressed air is cleaned of water and particulate and then set to the working pressure in a single unit. This configuration has a G1/2 (BSPP) port on the 300 size frame, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, the 5 um element (code W), a low-pressure regulator, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and no mounting bracket or reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with a choice of drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, low-pressure regulated air to swing clamps and risers on a CNC fixture, with the 5 um element protecting directional valves from fine particulate.
Sets a stable low atomizing pressure and removes water and fine particles ahead of spray guns; the manual drain suits a booth that is blown down each shift.
Regulated supply to diverters and pushers on a packaging line, with the round psi gauge letting operators check the set pressure at a glance.
The real choices in this family are the size and port, the drain type, the filter grade, the gauge and its scale, the thread and the bracket. Size 300 with a 1/2 in port suits mid-range lines; step up to 400 or 600 when the flow curve demands it. The 5 um element on this unit is the finer choice where downstream equipment is sensitive to particulate; 40 um is the standard grade. Manual drain means the bowl is opened by hand at intervals - choose automatic or differential-pressure drain where the bowl cannot be attended. Gauges are embedded square as standard with an external round option in MPa, psi or bar; PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are order options. This unit is the low-pressure regulator type and is supplied without a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing - and the low-pressure set range - against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your flow and pressure requirement and we will confirm the datasheet curve and the correct size for your application.
Manual drain means the bowl is drained by hand at intervals, which suits lines that are blown down as part of a routine. The same GFR300 size is also available with automatic or differential-pressure drain - tell us how the unit will be attended and we will confirm the right variant.
