The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint, in a single body. This configuration is built with 1/2 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer option against the 40 um standard), a polycarbonate bowl with manual drain, an external round gauge reading in MPa, and a reverse (check) valve fitted. It is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR300 series, one of four sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) covering ports from 1/8 to 1 in, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge and thread options to order. Rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fitted at the drop feeding a CNC machine's pneumatic actuators and tool-clamp circuit, this unit strips water and fine particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure so clamping and tool-change movements stay repeatable through the shift.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a carton-sealing or wrapping machine, it cleans the compressed air feeding the sealing cylinders and lets the line technician set one stable working pressure for the whole machine from the round MPa gauge.
Installed on the air drop to a manual bench press or riveting fixture, it filters the shop supply down to 5 um before the valve and lets the operator dial in the forming pressure for each job, with the check valve holding the setting against upstream fluctuation.
Size and port step up together in the GFR family: sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 cover ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and this 300-size unit takes 1/2 in NPT (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options). The 5 um element (code W) suits take-off points that need finer filtration than the 40 um standard. The manual drain (code M) means an operator opens the bowl drain as part of routine maintenance - if you cannot guarantee that, the same unit is available with automatic or differential-pressure drain. The round gauge with MPa scale is fitted on this code; psi and bar scales are available, and the reverse (check) valve (K) is already included. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment, and we will confirm the correct size and the flow figures from the AirTAC datasheet before you order.
This GFR300-15 carries drain code M: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand, so draining needs to be part of routine maintenance. If no one can do that regularly, the same filter regulator is available with automatic or differential-pressure drain - tell us and we will quote the alternative code.
