The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a 300-size filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa, a built-in reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket. The polycarbonate bowl suits the standard -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operating range, with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and a regulation range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and options including manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), alternative gauge scales in psi or bar, and G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fitted at a 1/2 in branch take-off on a factory compressed-air ring main, it cleans the supply and holds a set working pressure for the tools and actuators served by that drop, with the automatic drain handling condensate.
Ahead of a pneumatic press or clamping station, the 40 um element stops particulate reaching the valve stack while the regulator sets the consistent working pressure the cylinder circuit needs.
On a packaging or conveyor line with air-driven diverters and stopper cylinders, it delivers filtered air at a stable set pressure, and the check valve helps hold the downstream circuit if upstream supply dips.
Start with the port step: this unit is the 300 size with 1/2 in NPT ports; step up to 400 or 600 for larger air demand, or down to 200 for compact lines. Choose the drain to match access: automatic (this unit) suits unmanned or enclosed installations, manual suits attended stations, and differential-pressure drains only when flow is steady. The 40 um element is standard; specify the 5 um W grade where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The embedded square gauge reads MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are order options. G (BSPP) and NPT threads are catalogue alternatives to the PT standard, and a no-bracket (J) variant is available.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The A code fits an automatic drain, so collected condensate is ejected from the polycarbonate bowl without anyone opening it. It suits enclosed cabinets or unmanned cells; manual and differential-pressure drains are available as alternative order codes.
